podium

multimedia
amplifier

range

However,

setting
does not
call for
built-in amplification,
but does
require
versatility
for proficient,
computer-savvy
AV
presentations,
the
non-sound
model
(photo
below)
offers
multi-functional
efficiency
and
three
sided
doors
for
access
to all
internal
shelving.
Presentations
often
require
audio
visual
projection
equipment
of some
kind,
and both
the
sound
and the
non-sound
versions
enable
professional
presentations.
A
lift-up
media
shelf on
one side
of the
podium
will
hold a
projector.
The
black
work
surface
offers
ample
room for
your
notes,
and also
slides
back to
reveal a
2" deep
compartment
designed
specifically
to store
a
laptop.
That storage
area is
secured
with a
key
lock.

floor of

The solid state
multimedia amplifier and
its control panel are
housed beneath the
hidden laptop
compartment. Your
presentation is
broadcast from the 8"
full range speaker that
is housed within the
black grill on the front
panel of the "sound"
models, and can be
audible for audiences of
up to 500 people. The
amp (shown below) runs
off 117 Volt AC but can
run off 12V CD if you
utilize this unit's
optional battery. The
control panel has one
volume control, two tone
controls as well as its
on/off control. There's
one input for a wired mic and one output
suitable for an
extension speaker (not
included) that could
double or triple your
audible range depending
on the type used and its
placement. A fuse
(2A) and a recharger
(with LED indicator) are
both internally mounted.
Both the speaker and amp
are compact and leave
plenty of internal
storage area within the
cabinetry.
Two condenser-style,
wired microphones and a
gooseneck mic holder
come standard with the
amplified Smart Cart. A
wired tie-clip/lavalier
mic is included (with a
10' long cord), as is a
wired handheld (with a
9' long cord). The

rechargeable battery
that runs on
DC power. For those
organizations that may
need to set up these PA
systems somewhere
without AC current, the
12V, 5 Amp rechargeable
