This freestanding adjustable book holder provides comfortable, hands-free reading and ergonomic multi-positioning for an ideal reading posture anywhere. Avid readers, rehab patients, performing musicians, and the physically disabled are among the many who have come to depend on their adjustable book holder. Chiropractors and orthopedic surgeons recommend this product for relieving the neck and shoulders from the strain of uncomfortable reading postures. Use it in the bath, on a stationary bike, to reference a cookbook in the kitchen, or even lying in bed. The reading stand is sturdily constructed with a steel pole and tip-free cast iron base. Specially engineered steel page holders with rubber tips maintain your page placement, yet allow you to easily turn pages when needed. Four rolling casters allow the reading stand to follow you wherever you need it. The pole telescopes for height adjustment and swings the arm to either side. The book board tilts for angle adjustment and rotates horizontally to vertically. This is the most flexible reading stand you'll ever find.

Comments about Ergo In Demand Freestanding Adjustable Reading Stand:
I ordered because problems with my hands make it difficult to hold heavy books, yet I love to read. I had to pay a contractor to put it together for me; in fact it was so heavy I could barely bring it inside when it was delivered. But apparently it's the only such product on the market, and I'm glad I have it.

I bought this to hold a book so I could read while using my exercise bike. Works well, does what it supposed to do. It would be better if it could hold a heavier book, I think it says 5 lbs max, but that would be pushing it. A little awkward to tighten the clamps to securely hold it in position, but most of the time I just leave them loose so I can swing it out of the way if I need to. Pretty expensive for what it does, so only 3 stars, but the only one I found that would do what I needed.

My 99 year old grandmother is using it to hold her books that are too heavy for her. She can swivel it toward her chair or to her bed, perfect for the heaviest books.
