Chalk is inexpensive, easy erase, and typically lasts much longer than dry-erase markers. Chalk now also comes in "no dust" brands for greater comfort and is also easy to write on/wipe off. There's plenty of colors, too, so you can accent your presentations. And chalk holders are available through office supply centers that make it easy to write with even worn down chalk, and keeps your hands off the chalk itself.

This 1/2" porcelain steel chalk board is built to work for you. A uniform, fused surface results from the precisely balanced porcelain enamel ground coat that's applied to both sides of the steel.  Each chalk board goes through two firings. The first fuses the ground coat enamel into the heat softened 28 gauge steel; then the ceramic top coat is applied to provide the desired color and fade resistant characteristics. The second firing fuses a face coat enamel to the ground coat.

Cleaning our porcelain boards are easy. Wipe off images easily with erasers.  For a sparkling clean, just use a liquid ammonia added cleaner and water. If crayons accidentally mark the surface, remove them with scouring powder and water.
