Desk lamps for the modern office have been created by professional decor design team focused on shape, size, and functionality. A two person team from a renown industrial design firm created these asymmetrical task lighting solutions. The articulating 26"L, metal double-arm construction is perfect for medium-sized work areas in a modern offices. That 26"L two-link arm is available on a desk clamp model or can be mounted onto the optional weighted desk base. If you prefer a panel/wall mounting solution, it is offered with a single-link 22"L arm, but with the same design, shade and reflector.

Contemporary portable desk lamp is especially useful on sit or stand adjustable workstations. In open office environments where several people are working, raising your sit-stand desk to standing height could cause discomfort from glare for those in the surrounding area if other types of task lights are used. However, these Calypso contemporary portable desk lamps prevent glare discomfort and also are supplied with a High Power Factor (HPF) ballast that eliminates disruptive flicker.

Focus on functionality, as well as shape and size has resulted in attractive contemporary portable desk lamps. Parallel motion feature developed into these lights ensures the shade remains horizontal to work surface when repositioned. The lights are available in a choice of light grey or black. The optional weighted base is only available in black. Each model comes with a minimum 6'L cord and a 13W fluorescent bulb

A two-link, 26"L arm provides adjustable placement when you order the desk edge clamp model. This edge clamp model is constructed in such a way as to allow a slight modification to accommodate the optional table base. Thus, if you prefer your task lamp to sit on top of your work surface, simply order the desk edge model along with the optional table base to create this convenient light.

The 8 lb. weighted base measures 8-1/2"L x 7"W x 1-1/2"h, and it is only available in black. That offers a modern contrast if you connect it to the light grey two-link arm, and its solid weight provides a strong foundation.

There is also a panel/wall mounting desk lamp. Perfect for cubicle environments where space is limited, the panel mounting models have a single-link 22"L arm. They provide you the same asymmetric light distribution as the other models.

The Calypso lights are all wired for 120V, 60Hz operation. They are UL/CUL listed. Their ballasts provide flicker free performance and have a Class A sound rating, helping to ensure a comfortable work environment.
