Podiums
are the
focal point
during group
presentations,
so establishing
a strong
yet attractive
setting
is extremely
important.
This stylized
stand is
constructed
of 1" thick
clear and
beautiful
plexiglass
that's been
formed into
a distinctive
"Z" shape.
Perfect
for any
meeting
room, acrylic
stands have
become a
particular
favorite
of religious
and spiritual
organizations.
Typically,
pulpits
have been
designed
as imposing
structures
of marble
or wood.
Those were
successful
in creating
an authoritative
and elevated
platform
for the
speaker,
yet many
organizations
are now
discovering
the power
of plexiglass.
Strong,
clear material
acts to
remove barriers
between
the audience
and the
presenter,
creating
a more receptive
setting
suitable
for informal
worship
styles.

Fine
furnishings always require
respect and care, and your
pulpit is certainly worthy
of attention. Improper cleaning
and rough handling, though,
can impact the appearance
of your acrylic church pulpit.
The "Do Not" cleaning suggestions:
-
Do not use cleansers
containing ammonia on
plexiglass.
-
Do not rub dirt or dust
off using a dry cloth,
a paper towel, your
hands or textured material.
The "Do" cleaning suggestions:
-
Do use a soft wet sponge
to "float away" loose
dirt material.
-
Then, remove more stubborn
stains or fingerprints
using a mild
dish detergent and warm
water on a soft, wet
sponge.
-
Dry product with a clean,
damp chamois.
Scratches?
-
Proper use will avoid
any activity or product
that might cause the
plexiglass to become
scratched.
-
Do not drop or drag
this pulpit
or use metal objects
(such as keys), sharp
objects (such as letter
openers), or rub it
with harsh, textured
cleaning cloths.
-
If, despite your best
efforts, fine scratches
occur on the podium
itself and you prefer
to attempt to treat
them, the scratches
may be removable by
using specialized, mild
polishes designed for
this purpose. You can
find examples of these
at many office furniture
stores or through on-line
retailers.
