I am a software developer and I need to stand at work due to back problems. Sometimes I get tired, though, and need to sit down. So I needed a desktop raiser that I could also lower occasionally. This product is quite substantially less expensive than the next priced competitor. I also liked that it came in a light wood veneer that matches our existing desks. Two drawbacks: It's pretty good sized, but not as broad a surface as I'd hoped; and with the weight of my iMac on it, it's hard to raise from the lowest position. It has some kind of mechanism to reduce the difficulty of raising it, but the iMac's weight seems to counteract this mechanism. Without a heavy computer on it, I'm sure it would be much easier to raise. I definitely recommend this product, especially for the price.

I bought this so that I could stand part of the day as I work in an office and sitting all day was hurting my neck and shoulders. This helps me to be able to stand part of the day and sit part of the day. It is a very sturdy item. I love it!

I bought the model that doesn't mount the monitor and wish I had so my screen would then sit back a little farther. I thought I didn't need to spend the extra dollars because my current monitor tilts and raises, but its own base then keeps it a little too far forward for comfort. Get the Kangaroo stand with the mountable monitor option.

I got this for my office desk at work since I sit at a computer all day and have shoulder back pain even after getting many ergonomic solutions such as nice chair, keyboard tray, rollermouse, etc. This finally provides a fairly reasonably priced solution. It is simple and easy to use (literally no assembly required.) It's easy to move up and down. I highly recommend it for those looking for sit stand! I did need to put lots of books under computer screen to get the screen high enough since i needed the table at the correct height for my keyboard.

The only complaint I have is there were no instructions except a sheet of paper saying something like, extra leg attachment for weight. No tools or instructions for how to add the monitor to the vertical monitor adjustment.
