Protect your vision from the bothersome
effects of screen glare while
guarding your delicate LCD display from accidental
touch. These slim, lightweight anti-glare
screens are made of 2 mm thick acrylic
that has been specially treated
to provide you greater clarity due
to its anti-reflective characteristics.
The glare filter rests on your LCD
by two sturdy plastic brackets that
are coated for a metallic look.
This computer accessory is available
for 15", 17", 18.1", 19", and 20.1"
desktop LCD monitors.
No tools
are required for installation. Simply
attach one of these glare filters
to your monitor by resting the brackets
over the top of your LCD. Not designed
for use on laptops or CRTs.

Glare
is more than just bothersome.
Sometimes glare is so subtle
that users are not completely
aware of it or the affects
it is having on their vision
or posture. Other times,
glare can make reading all
or part of a computer screen
impossible, and it also
reduces contrast. Glare
forces the muscles of our
eyes to continually refocus,
stressing their function.
Also, users often end up
readjusting their posture
or tilting their neck and
head into non-ergonomic
positions, sometimes unconsciously.
Some of glare's effects
include irritation, tearing,
dry eye, headaches among
other difficulties. Adding
an anti-glare filter to
your monitor and adjusting
your work area, when possible,
to reduce the impact of
light on your screen are
two major ways of increasing
computer working comfort
and reducing glare's unhealthy
affects. For additional
information about some health
affects of glare and computer
usage, check
Computer Vision Syndrome.

Determine the accurate size
of the computer filters
you require by measuring
your LCD screen diagonally
from corner to corner, as
demonstrated at left. Unlike
CRTs, in which part of the
screen's overall size is
hidden behind the monitor
housing, LCD screen measurements
are known as "true" because
what you see is the screen's
actual measurement.
