Bamboo furniture is incredibly durable, beautiful, and eco-friendly. One of the most sustainable resources known, bamboo matures much faster than trees, so it can be harvested in great volumes without being depleted. It's also much harder than most hard woods, making it very resistant to marring. Our bamboo desk features a natural carbonized amber finish that's induced by the heating of the sap in the manufacturing process, so it won't fade or water-stain. The wood is sourced from the organic Moso forests of China, a region that's world-famous for the perfect color, density, and grain of its bamboo.
